Flower Pot Workshop

$0.00

Two-Part FlowerPot Workshop with John Robinson
$160 | Includes Materials and Firing

In this hands-on two-part workshop, students will learn how to create their own unique flowerpots from start to finish. During the first session, you'll shape your pots on the wheel or by hand, exploring different forms and functional features such as drainage holes and trays. We'll discuss form, proportion, and how to design for plant health and aesthetics.

In the second session, you’ll return to trim, refine, and decorate your pieces. We’ll cover surface design techniques and finish with glazing to bring your pots to life with color and texture.

This workshop is open to students with at least one full 5–6 week ceramics session under their belt. Basic proficiency with either wheel throwing or handbuilding is required, as we’ll be moving at a faster pace and focusing on more advanced forms and techniques.

Whether you're making a classic terracotta-inspired planter or something more whimsical, you’ll leave with a beautiful, functional piece ready to bring a little more green into your space.
