Make a Succulent Planter – Ceramic Workshop

Celebrate creativity and quality time with Mom in this hands-on ceramic workshop! Whether you’re looking for a special Mother’s Day activity, a unique gift, or just a fun way to connect, this class is the perfect way to create something beautiful together.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, each participant will hand-build your very own succulent planter using a clay slab. We’ll guide you step-by-step through shaping, designing, and decorating your planters—no experience needed! You’ll get to explore fun textures, colors, and techniques to make your creations truly one-of-a-kind.

After the workshop, we’ll glaze and fire your planters in our kiln, and they’ll be ready for pickup in about 2–3 weeks—just in time to pot your favorite succulents!
🌱 Plus, each participant will receive a small succulent plant to take home and plant in their finished pot.

What’s Included:

  • All materials and tools

  • Expert instruction

  • Firing and glazing of your finished pieces

  • A small succulent plant for your handmade pot

Duration: 2.5 hours
No experience necessary
Ages 10+ welcome with a participating adult.

After the event our staff will fire and, glaze your work for you and will notify you when everything is ready to pick up. Please allow 3 weeks for processing your items.

Please note: this is a single date event. Purchasing a ticket to one of these events reserves your spot in the workshop. You will receive a confirmation email for your purchase but we we are unable to send out reminders before the event. Our studio is located inside the gates of the CNL Native Plant Nursery. Because this event falls outside of nursery business hours we ask that you respect the nursery staff by closing the black gate behind you and not browsing the plants or nursery property after their business hours. Thank you!
