Throwing with Intention: Master the Wheel with Purpose and Creativity

Ready to level up your wheel-throwing game? Throwing with Intention is designed for potters who want to throw with confidence, control, and creative clarity. Whether you're just getting started or looking to refine your technique, this course offers a hands-on, immersive experience in shaping clay into functional and expressive forms.

Weekly lessons will include throwing forms including cylinders of specific sizes and weights (cups, mugs, vases, and bottles), and bowls of various sizes and weights.

Want to take it further? We’ll guide you into advanced techniques like creating closed forms, adding spouts and lids, altering silhouettes, and mastering handles. Weekly demos and personalized, one-on-one coaching ensure you get the support and feedback you need to grow.

Plus, we’ll demystify the glazing process so your pieces don’t just feel good in the hand—they look stunning too. Come ready to get messy, get centered, and throw with intention.

Price includes 15 lbs of reclaim clay. All other clay bodies are still available for purchase in studio.

Firing and glazing fees are now sold seperately per piece by volume.

Adult students must have their own tools. Starter tool kits can be purchased on the first day of class at the studio for $25/kit (plus tax).
